Dabindu Collective has organized a stakeholder meeting in Vavuniya on 20th of December 2024 to address and raise awareness on critical issues of garment sector workers and request for support to conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) on feasibility study on Livelihood Support for Garment Sector Workers.
This meeting brought together with civil society, government, and law enforcement from the district.
The sessions involved reviewing past reports, DC’s activism in the past years, discussing current issues, and developing actionable recommendations.
The meeting ended with commitment to follow-up actions and continued collaboration to improve the worker conditions in Vavuniya.
